People enter the same space, each a chamber of many rooms

i scatter pigments, brushes, and paper across the tables, and say,
“paint as if no walls had ever been built”

men, women, and children, shaped by different tongues and traditions
dip their brushes into the fluttering silence between them
painting trees, butterflies, moons, suns, oceans and skies

colors cross invisible borders
hands speak languages older than words

this is what happens when we meet from the place within

we recall nature
we embrace life
we stop chasing the canvas
and let the masterpiece breathe through us
